Building Hope Through Education
We help build schools in Mozambique
Our Mission
Our hope. Their hope.
From 15,000km away, a small but mighty Rotary Club in a blustery winter city builds hope in the minds of children and their communities, in the developing country of Mozambique. Steven’s Hope has a mission is to build schools in Mozambique to provide safe, clean and comfortable learning environments for more children to access education.
What We Do
Educating children builds prosperity
For 15 years, the Rotary Club of Edmonton Gateway, supported by several Rotary Clubs in Rotary International District 5370, the Province of Alberta Community Initiatives Program and in-country (Mozambique) agents, have been building schools in Mozambique.
With requests from the Canadian Consulate to consider constructing schools in other areas of Mozambique, it was clear we needed an independent Society with the capacity to raise substantial funds and issue tax receipts, and to operate on a more broad scale than a Rotary Club is able to do.
Thus, the creation of Steven's Hope for Mozambique.
